"Blackbear Bosin's 'Great Indian' in Wichita"
The Mid-America All-Indian Center gift shop is the only retail location in Wichita to purchase the new book "Blackbear Bosin's 'Great Indian' in Wichita" by Margaret Williams Norton.
Norton currently lives in River Grove, Ill., and is an adjunct fine arts faculty member at Triton College. She visited the Indian Center on Nov. 6 to speak before an enthusiastic crowd and sign copies of her book.
"Blackbear Bosin's 'Great Indian' in Wichita" is the first and only book dedicated to the life and art of Bosin, who was a founding member of the Indian Center and creator of the iconic Keeper of the Plains statue.
Copies of her book are on sale now in the Indian Center gift shop for $12.95. People may also use a credit card to purchase copies over the phone at (316) 350-3340 and have the book shipped to them.
