Class Schedule

Unless otherwise noted, enrollment is open to Indian Center members and the general public, but limited to the first 12 people who sign up. School-age children must be accompanied by an adult over the age of 18 to participate.

Beaded Flip Flop Class:    March 29, 2014                       1:00 PM-3:00 PM

Blend traditional art with modern styles in this truely unique class taug by local artist Patricia Bird who will be assisted by Sierra Hulsey. Enrollment to this workshop is open to MAAIC Members and the General Public, but limited to the first 15 people to sign up. The admission fee is $10.00 for MAAIC Members and $20.00 for the General public. School age children must be accompanied by an adult over the age of 18 to participate, and additional materials must be purchased in advance.

 

Beaded Feather Earring Class:     April 12, 2014       10:00 AM-12:00 PM

Taught by local youth artist Catherine Sutton, create your own modern feather earrings using beads and wire. This is an open enrollment class for MAAIC Members is just $10.00 and $20.00 for the General Public. Class registration is limited to the first 12 people to sign up. School age children are welcome, but must be accompanied by an adult over the age of 18 to participate.

 

Beginning Dream Catcher Making Workshop:   May 31, 2014

The Dream Catcher Making Workshop taught by local artist Michelle Conine is your opportunity to come and make your very own dream catcher! Enrollment to this workshop is open to MAAIC Members and the General Public. Admission fees are just $10.00 for MAAIC Members and $20.00 for the General Public.

 

Beginning Clay Class:   June 14, 2014

Experience Art and Culture through clay by exploring the basics of working with water-base clay in this workshop taught by local artist, Shelia Bazil. More information to come.

 

Beginning Shawl Making Class:   June 14, 2014

1:00 PM-3:00 PM
Whether it is your very first shawl, or completing an unfinished one, you can do it all in this class taught by local artist and elder, Sandra Hulsey. Enrollment to this workshop is open to MAAIC Members and the General Public but limited to the first 12 people to sign up. This class is FREE for MAAIC Members and $20.00 for the General Public.

 

Beginning Finger Woven Belt Class:   June 21, 2014

10:00 AM-12:00 PM
Learn how to make a finger woven belt in this class taught by local artist, Betty McGarigle. Admission fees are just $10.00 for MAAIC Members and $20.00 for the General Public.
